INTRODUCTION

This course will provide the diver with the information necessary to plan and conduct dives utilizing Enriched Air Nitrox as a breathing gas. This course will present the advantages and benefits of using EAN. Divers will learn how to choose Enriched Air Nitrox mixtures and the limitations of those mixtures. The diver will be taught filling methods and equipment considerations for the Enriched Air Nitrox diver as well as analyzing the Enriched Air Nitrox mixtures. Also presented in the course is the Equivalent Air Depth concept. The Equivalent Air Depth concept, simply stated, is the use of standard air tables with Enriched Air Nitrox.

The next NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course course consists of 2 nights of class work.

The price of this course is $110.00 and includes the following:

ENROLLING IN THE COURSE

To ensure that each student receives the maximum benefit from the training provided in this course, enrollment is limited to a maximum of 10 students; this is done on a first come, first served basis.

AGE REQUIREMENT: The student must be at least 15 years old at the start of the course. Parental consent is required for students under the age of 18.

PREREGISTRATION: To guarantee yourself a place in the next available course, you can preregister by submitting a $75.00 deposit (which is credited toward the course fee). Checks are made payable to Andy’s Sport Shop. Only the first 10 people who preregister will be guaranteed a place in the next course. Along with your paid deposit, you will receive a preregistration packet, which contains additional course information, course forms, and course study material (textbook and tables). Please note, however, that this deposit can only be refunded if a doctor certifies that you have a medical condition, which prohibits you from participating in diving activities. Any individual who simply does not show up for the course after having preregistered will forfeit the $100.00 deposit

SCUBA MEDICAL HISTORY QUESTIONAIRE: As with any sport, scuba diving can place physical demands on your body. Scuba diving with certain medical conditions (known or unknown to the diver) can, under certain conditions, cause specific medical problems. For this reason, all course enrollees are required to fill out a Medical History Questionnaire. Based on the results of this questionnaire, a medical examination by a physician may be waved, or required.

MINIMUM CERTIFCATION: Anyone wishing to enroll in this program are required to have as a minimum a basic scuba diver certification from a nationally recognized certification agency.
