when a child is constantly growing;
physically and in ability. It is often
impossible, and costly, to keep up. Here’s
how it works: Come in with your child and we
will fit him or her with equipment that
fits, has been safety tested, and is fully
tuned and ready to ski! If you have plans
for ski school or ski programs, it becomes
very cost-effective and hassle free to rent
for the season. Come in and we will show you
the high quality equipment and service we
provide!

choose to return the equipment with no
further obligation or you may purchase it

Why it is a good idea to maintain your skis |
|
A great day on the slopes starts with the
right tune on your skis or snowboard. You
wouldn’t drive your car without motor oil or
with bald tires? Why would you ski or
snowboard with dull and rusty edges and no
wax?
Just like motor oil in your car the wax and
grind on the base of your skis both protects
and reduces friction. While you ski,
friction occurs between your ski and the
snow surface. This friction generates heat
which is enough to melt the snow. The water
created by the snow melt causes suction,
ultimately slowing you down.
Adequate structure of the ski base, like
good tires on your car, will channel water
away reducing the suction between your ski
and the snow surface. The optimum structured
base and proper wax ensures smooth easy
gliding on all snow conditions.
Just like good tread on a tire your ski’s
edges allow you to maintain control of your
skiing vehicle. Sharp edges will allow you
to dig in on hard surfaces and carve
textbook turns. A ski must be sharp from
contact point to contact point (edge to
edge) to carve a great turn. A dull ski will
not bend hold your turn and will only create
skidded turns. Professional edge grinding
ensures uncompromising grip even on icy
slope conditions.

tuned and maintained skis will help save
energy and increase the safety and fun in
your skiing!
